G-E-T Art Students Make Bowls For The Hungry
In March, the students in Mrs. Johnson’s art classes made bowls for
the Feed My People Food Bank in Eau Claire. Feed My People distributes
millions of pounds of food each year to hunger relief agencies in
west-central Wisconsin. Ceramic bowls are donated by area schools and
professional potters. The Empty Bowls fundraiser is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser; they raised over $40,000 last year. The students in G-E-T really took their time, and did a great job on their bowls. Knowing that their bowls were going to be used to help raise money and awareness for people in our area, really made the students work hard and do their best. |
